Mixing the chemistry - your technician can do this for you but if your doing this at home then wear gloves and goggles for safety!

To make 200ml of working chemical you will need
Gloves and goggles -safety 1st when working with chemicals!
>25 grams of Ferric Ammonium Citrate
>10grams of Potassium Ferricyanide
> 200ml of water- 100ml for each chemical
>2 measuring cylinders and mixing rod
>2 glass (brown glass) or plastic (darkroom) bottle to keep the mixed chemicals - OR One bottle if you are planning to use all of the chemical in one session.

Mix each of the chemical powers in to 100ml- mix until all the chemical is dissolved then place in to the bottles separately and leave over night to mature.
Wash all containers with warm water and make sure there is no chemical residue left on surfaces. keep the chemicals in a chemical cupboard with the lid tightly secured

Mix the potassium ferricyancide and the ammonium ferricirtrate in equal parts this should be done in red light settings or a very dim room ( I tend to mix my chemicals at night at home then leave them to mature over night)
Coating your paper with cyanotypeFor this you will need
>Paper (or other absorbent material) >Brush or glass rod - this this demonstration it will be carried out using a Chinese Jiaban Brush, the brush has very fine bristles and doesn't leave brush marks on the paper. >Hair dryer to dry the paper.
